"Do you buy back books"
"Well, if we have sold a book, yes, we will generally buy it back"
"Oh good, how much for these ?"
"erm, I don't recognise having sold any of those."
"No, they didn't come from here."
"Ah, well, I won't be buying them back then"
"But you just said you would buy them......"
It went on for a while, but I really can't be bothered to type any more..

Oh good grief! You really do get them, don't you?! It's almost like working in a public library... without the intelligence of some of the clientele.
Its a bit like the old scam ,where someone asks for an odd book,title and author written on a scrap of paper,saying how they will pay up to £50.00 for it and leaving their
phone number.Then the next day,someone offers you the exact book and asks for a modest £10.00.
Needless to say,the buyer will not want it anymore,even if the phone number is valid.
